Terms of Service

Last updated 2026-01-01

1. Acceptance

By creating a Taxayu account or using the workspace, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Taxayu on behalf of a firm, you confirm you have authority to bind that firm. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Nature of the service

Taxayu is a software workspace for Indian Chartered Accountants. The tools assist with reconciliation, computation, and drafting. Outputs, including any AI-generated drafts, reconciliations, and computations, are working aids and must be reviewed by a qualified professional before being relied upon or submitted to any authority.

3. Account responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of data you upload, for keeping your login credentials safe, and for the activity of any members you invite into your workspace. Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You will not:

  • upload data you do not have the right to process;
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service;
  • use the service to advise on tax matters outside the jurisdiction of India without independent verification;
  • misrepresent AI-generated drafts as final, professionally reviewed advice.

5. Your data

Client records, returns, and notices you upload remain your property. Storage, retention, and processing are described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your workspace data at any time.

6. No professional advice

Taxayu does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Computations, reconciliations, and AI-generated drafts are aids — final responsibility for filings, replies to notices, and advice to clients rests with the Chartered Accountant or qualified practitioner using the service.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, and unforeseen events may cause downtime. Critical filing deadlines remain your responsibility regardless of service availability.

8. Pricing and plans

Free workspaces are available subject to fair-use limits documented in the product. Paid plans, if offered, are billed in advance. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

9. Termination

You may close your workspace at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the service, or fail to pay for an active subscription.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Taxayu's aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed filing deadlines, regulatory penalties, or loss of profit.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.

12. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to the email address listed in your workspace Settings or to the contact address shown on the marketing site.
